The forecast for this weekend is looking good with strong South West winds forecast both days although not as strong as last Saturday!
Tides aren't very sociable however with early morning and late evening low tides, spring tides as well, so the best time to get down will be in the morning as the pushing tides works best with south west winds.
Evening sailing will be OK after 6pm but there will be a lot of current pushing you downwind, best to get up early and come in the morning.
Thanks to all of you who braved the winds and joined the Big Air competition last Saturday. Big congratulations to Mark Saunders-Griffiths, who won the competition, he now has a 2 hour private coaching session to look forward to with Sam Light our local international pro rider and some Mystic board shorts.
It was very close, Mike James came a very close second and many other members were giving it their best in what were very demanding conditions. 'Big Air Dave' was also doing his bit to represent CBK with some serious hang time and a special mention to Dan Conway who won Best Wipeout of the day. Well done Dan, hope you are feeling less sore!
I will be running a down winder at 1pm for anyone that fancies it, please mail me if your coming so I have an idea of numbers.
I was going to run an around the sandbar race for members this weekend, but as the tides are a little anti social I thought I would wait until next weekend, when hopefully we can do it in the afternoon and combine it with a free BBQ for members.
Friday night is looking perfect for an after work session, bring a 7m or 9m.
If anything changes I will update with email and on Facebook/Twitter.
Have a great week.
Warm Regards
Chris & the CBK Team
