Rosemary has recently joined the team full time to take on running of the CBK club and shop. She started kitesurfing in 2000 and although took a few years out to expand the Bull clan, is now back on the water. Having been around the sport since it’s inception she has a wealth of knowledge and with a background in HR she also brings excellent organisational and people skills. Certainly the fairer half of CBK (!) Rosemary’s passion is people and her priority is to ensure CBK customers and members get the best experience possible.
Carl has been kiting now for over 10 years, specilising in big air and old school moves! Carl is also a qulaified instructor and has a wealth of experince and knowledge to draw on in his role as CBK beach manager. Every weekend during April to October you will find him down the beach, running the kiting zone, assisting members, running the rescue service. Carl is always available for any advice or tips you should need.
Danny has been kitesurfing since 2008, and is a qualified BKSA Instructor and IKO Assistant Instructor. Danny originally qualified as an IKO kitesurf instructor whilst teaching diving in Mexico, where he became the lead instructor, and went on to help to setup and run new kitesurf tuition centres. He has since travelled the world teaching kitesurfing, before returning to the UK and basing himself at Hayling Island for his first season with CBK.
For Danny, his first years as an instructor have been about building on his teaching techniques, by devising new and original methods to aid student understanding of kite dynamics, before he moveson to qualify as a BKSA Coach. The sand bar at West Beach, Hayling tops Danny’s list as his favorite world spot right now for rider development.
Tom has always had a love of the sea having been a keen windsurfer and sailor since he was a boy. Tom started kitesurfing in 2008 and rapidly progressed to become a qualified instructor. He was brought up on the south coast so has a sound knowledge of the area but his passion for the sport has also taken him further afield including Hawaii and South Africa. Tom has been with the CBK team since last year and we are pleased to welcome him back for his second season.
Sam is currently no.1 in the BKSA Pro rankings, and is a local rider who started kiting in 2003 on Hayling beach at the age of 13, and was tutored and encouraged in his early kiting years by Chris Bull. Sam started competing in 2004, and in 2005 he won the KBBT junior championship. In 2006 he became a professional kitesurfer when he joined the Naish Pro team, and the rest (as they say) is history!
Despite now travelling all over the world kitesurfing, Sam still lives in Hayling, and loves to coach at his local beach. He will be conducting a number of guest coaching sessions and courses for CBK over the summer season. Watch the website for details of how to enrol.
